Dolly Madison Earrings

- Inventory on the way
These blue glass earrings are adapted from a pair that formerly belonged to Dolley Madison, wife of James Madison, the fourth president of the United States. The simplicity of the earrings is typical of the early 19th century. Colored glass was widely used in place of precious gems. The DAR Museum, established in 1890, houses decorative and fine arts objects made or used in America prior to the Industrial Revolution.
