This pin draws inspiration from the Chicago Bull, a white Assyrian statue of a human-headed winged bull which arrived in Chicago in 1929 in several large fragments. These composite winged animals were used in Babylonian and Assyrian art, often as a protective barrier from evil spirits.

These earrings are exactly what I was looking for! I have Queen Puabi's replica necklace from the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and they are a perfect match! The earrings are well made and comfortable, and look contemporary or ancient. Very versatile!

I had purchased the same scarab earrings from a museum shop after visiting an Egyptian special exhibit and loved them. I lost one and was so thrilled to be able to find the same earrings again to replace it. They are exactly what I hoped they would be.
